Ellenberg Leads Gorman Gaels to 3 State Title Victories!

Bishop Gorman Point guard Aaryn Ellenberg had an amazing performance at the state championship game. Ellenberg connected on five straight three pointers in a row and lead the youthful gaels to a 82-59 victory making it her third state championship in four years. Ellenberg scored 18 points, grabbed 3 rebounds, 6 assist and 3 steals. Ellenberg has signed with Oaklamhoma University and will play in the McDonalds All American Game.

5′11 Jr. Chelsie Pitt is a talented combo forawerd that possesse an accurate jump shot with range and handles the ball well for her size. Pitt scored on her first three possessions of the game and finished with 18 points. Pitt has the ability to score inside and out and plays the game on a very intense level.

5′5 Freshmen Amber Lane and 5′6 Jr. April Rivers both finished with 12 points. Lane added 5 assist and handled the ball well with only one turmover.

5′11 Freshman Forward Diamond Majors grabbed 8 rebounds and added 5 points. Majors has a ton of upside and should develop into a 6 foot plus permiter player with added skill work.

6′1 Sr., Center (Reed Raiders) Danielle Peacon lead all scorers with 25 points and snagged 11 rebounds. Peacon was big inside and should be an impact player at Pacific next year. She possess a soft touch and rebounds in traffic.

6′0 sophomre Nyasha Lesure scored added 16 points for the Reed Raiders.

Bishop Gorman wins state 82-59.
